A clone of Cam was here in the City of Lus. Why was a clone here in the City of Lus? Because Cam being the paranoid grizzled veteran of way too many battles to count had decided he needed to do many things at once. This included establishing a base of operations for himself with the technological and scientific advantages he would need in order to prevent another Plexan War from ever breaking out in the first place. Or maybe it was because he'd heart rumors about Tokatsu technology in the place. Maybe he could obtain that tech and use it to make an army of "armored warriors"  in order to make Plex the problem of well Someone Else. If that thought was any indication Cam definitely needed mental help for himself of the variety of someone going into his brain and actually correcting the imbalances within it.

Yet at the same time he wasn't likely to allow anyone into his brain. The horrors he had lived through in his timeline were enough to destroy most men. It was only through his force of will that he kept going. His refusal to surrender and roll over for the next threat to come was all that kept him going day by day if he were to be truthful. Was it wrong he wanted to make Plex someone else's problem at this point? He wasn't sure. But he did know he couldn't handle it anymore. On his own... he was too close to breaking. Even his template was too close to breaking.

A tiny, camera headed robot began following Cam. Covertly at first, it then started just actively following him in the street.

To any in the City of Lus, they had probably heard of the tale of little SCOUT - The tiny camera headed robot that could assimilate technology. It was well known in the area for just harmlessly wandering around, asking nicely for peoples old pieces of tech for it to integrate. For many SCOUT had almost become a mascot for the area, almost like a neighbourhood stray cat. To SCOUT however, he had the most noble job in the city! Watching the citizens and making sure they don't get hurt!

"Go scrap yourself." said Cameron, as he noticed the robot was following him. He wasn't in the mood to deal with the robot at present for a multitude of reasons. Most notably that if it was infected with Plex, well, he'd have to destroy it. And really in his current mental state he wasn't sure he could. No, he was here to acquire any and all technologies he could in order to allow him to have a fighting chance. Okay, so he definitely needed therapy. First things first, he was going to acquire the technology he needed in order to stand a fighting chance. Back in the timeline he had been from, he had access to all sorts of resources. Here? Not so much. Cam only had the D-Lab, and he really didn't want to use much of the technology there.

But he did want to eliminate any potential respawns of Plex. Definitely not over it.

How was he going to get over his traumas? There had to be a way.

"unkind-unkind-unkind!" SCOUT piped up, pointing his tiny fingers at Cameron "SCOUT-will-watch"

Now he had been acknowledged, SCOUT drew ever closer to Cameron; Seemingly trying to record him from every angle. The robot was being overdramatic, doing small combat rolls in between each 'shot'.

The arm of Cameron reformatted into a laser cannon, and he pointed it at Scout. "Scout will, for lack of a better term "fuck off" to use the human expression." said Cameron, not in a good mood. Of course, why would he be? Plex was potentially still around, as he wasn't sure he believed Jay that Plex was finished off at present. Of course,  it could be the paranoia drilled into him by everything Plex had ever done that caused him to disbelieve the Templar. There were other reasons, namely the trust issues that were also drilled into him by the constant war he'd had to fight.

Cameron longed for the day when the endless war he had been involved in could finally come to an end. When he could hang up the sword, and shield he'd been forced to pick up in order to protect his own timeline. When he could at long last simply retire from being the hero. This was the one goal, the one thing that had kept Cameron going up until this point.

Peace was what he craved. Peace from the war he'd been fighting. Peace from his own anxiety. Peace from his own fears. And yet, the robot seemed content to stalk Cameron, and bring those bad memories to the surface.

No.

No.

NO!

NO!!!!

"Please stop following me.... you're triggering bad memories." He whimpered. The breathing of Cameron became shallow, as he started quivering. He was reliving how he had to fight his own Grandfather, K2323. It wasn't a pretty memory, nor one he wanted to revisit.

Scout scuttled backwards, dropping into a squat as small jets formed on it's feet.

"man-is-violent" SCOUT uttered, stepping a little further back "SCOUT-must-watch" It reaffirmed "keep-neighbourhood-safe"

In a curious turn, the robot seemed scared- Something not commonly found in robotic creatures.

"No,"   Cameron whimpered as he started to relive the bad memory of how he had been forced to take down his Grandfather in a battle.  "I don't want to do this Grandpa," He said, as he dodged a bolt of Genesis from K2323 who was under the control of Plex. Of course, this was in his head, and not in the real world. "But you're leaving me no choice. In order to defend life,"

He started gathering energies in the real world. Bronze energy, that of Auv surrounded his body. Cameron was having a PTSD Episode right then and there triggered by Scout following him. He needed help.... but who?

SCOUT's body was immediately covered by a spherical steel shield- Unfortunately SCOUT did not have any particularly special tech integrated, he had never really seen war.

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaa" A quiet synthetic screaming noise came from the sphere.

Suddenly, Cam would find himself unable to move as the very 'air' of the planet seemed to paralyze him. The planet itself being controlled and able to be manipulated in anyway by the ARPMS technology.

Before Cam and Scout, a girl seemed to phase through the floor onto the street above. She was all blue from her skin-tight suit to her hair, to her skin, and cat ears and tail. She had stripes across her skin and was partially seethrough. "HALT EVIL DOER!" The girl held her hand out to Cam, her tail swishing behind her. "Cheshire is here to stop the attack on SCOUT, friend and citizen to Lus."

Cameron didn't reply to Cheshire in the slightest.  He was frozen in a PTSD Episode. Which, if Cheshire or whoever knew the signs of, they would be able to recognize. He was engaged in his mind against K2323 in a fight that he had happened to have done in the past.  However, he was still frozen by the ARMS system that the individual had used on him at present.

"... "

"...."

"..."

"...."

When it ended,  Cameron asked. "Did I have another PTSD Episode?"  He asked. "I really need to make some sort of medication that works. Of course given I'm no longer organic,  medication probably won't work."

He had managed to power down Auv, and turn his arm back to a regular hand.

The shield around SCOUT disappeared as it scuttled up to Cheshire, grabbing onto her leg for comfort "SCOUT-is-scared"

SCOUT's head began projecting the events that lead up to this point, unedited.

Cheshire watched the footage that SCOUT showed and then looked at Cam, puzzled. Her head tilted right, then left, as if trying to figure out what he was going on about. "Cheshire does not know what that is. But if trashcan attacks SCOUT, Cheshire hacks trashcan!" The catgirl then raised her hand and behind her several AI bunnies, shadowcats, butterflies, mice, doggies, and birds appearing behind her. Her army of Malware ARI.

Malware ARI? Seriously?!?  Cameron had tried to make some of those to fight back against Plex in his timeline. Suffice to say that it hadn't worked as Plex wasn't an AI. if Plex was an AI, Cameron simply could've pulled the plug on them.  "My name is Cameron. Cameron Tyris. PTSD Is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This causes panic attacks, and involuntary lashing out as you believe you're in a bad moment of your past. In my case, brought about by fighting an endless battle from when I was 12 years old against an entity known as Plex. Specifically the moment I was in was a traumatic moment where I was forced to kill my own Grandfather."  He stated.

Still frozen by being held in the air, there wasn't much Cameron could do.  "A fight again caused by the entity known as Plex. I'm from a different timeline. I came here to try and find something that could destroy Negi so as to prevent the more insane ones from bringing back the Plex of this timeline for Round 2."  He knew he wouldn't survive mentally if he had to do a round 2 against Plex. He mentally couldn't handle such a battle. A war like that again.... he'd become a monster if it happened.

SCOUT began quietly continuing to record Cameron, determined to continue to observe this stranger.

Before Cam, SCOUT, and Cheshire, there now appeared a giant pink and blue dinosaur ARI with the mind of a newborn.

Cam became unparalyzed as Cheshire simply looked up at the dinosaur. The battle ARI knowing what had happened thanks to her connection to the system that Rev and Gen just created it on. "Cheshire have friends now. Trashcam better watch out." The catgirl simply stated before reaching down to scoop up SCOUT and then phasing through the floors back to the control room before Freya and the kids.

"....."    At the appearance of a Kaiju in blue and pink,  Cameron had a frown on his face. This was not an ordinary frown on his face. It was a frown like Cameron had given when he had faced Plex and his armies. Cameron was shaking in rage as he looked at the dinosaur as he looked at it. He didn't want to deal with the dinosaur or the idiocy that he was about to have to deal with. After all, Cameron had never expected to have to deal with a dinosaur.  Plex had created enough monsters back in the timeline he was from that he had to deal with. A Kaiju wasn't that scary in the slightest after all. He had faced monsters that would shatter the minds of Rev and Gen should they have ever faced the weakest of them.

A bubble was made around Cameron that was about the size  / width / length of a school bus. This was made to protect him from the incoming troubles. It was made out of a bronze energy (auv).  He had a scowl on his face now as he did this. Hopefully he wouldn't have to fight any of the ARIs if he could avoid it really.

Trashcam?!? She had called him Trashcam?!?

Why would someone....?

Okay,  no.  NO!

But first he had the creature to handle somehow.  A lullaby was sang by him. Music might soothe the savage beast and render it unconscious. If this worked Cameron would relax a moment.

However. Cam was still on Lus. Thus he was still in the planet-wide MMO. And having not defeated a single thing, this meant he was still only level one. To tame a beast as big as the new Kaiju ARI? That took something as high as at least level 50. To do anything, he would have to gain levels! ... But first pick a class and name.

The music thus fell on deaf ears as the Kaiju ARI continued to stomp through the city, the other citizens of Lus, AI and other, simply ignored it. This was normal for them, what with being lead by ten-year-olds and all. Plus, every citizen had access to ARPMS technology of their own to fix any damage that was done to their homes.

The Kaiju ARI let out a loud roar, as it started to breathe pixelated fire.

Part of Cam was tempted to let the beast rampage and be someone else's problem.... or so he thought anyway. He then looked to see what classes were accessible so that he could figure them out and choose the best one. At the same time though he was sending out Picobots of his own in order to probe and scan the place, trying to figure out how to manipulate it for his own advantages. Really he wanted peace for himself. And yet, no matter how hard he attempted to get peace from his worries, it would never happen were he to be honest with himself. Even this fragment, this replica of Cam knew that.

Peace was a dream that for him was unattainable as he was now.  Of course that could change when he managed to get strong enough to hold his own. He input his name.

Name:  Cam Tyris
Class: ???

Since Cam had tried to give an invalid class, the randomizer gave him a class instead. Which turned out to be "Bard" Based on the fact that he had tried to use music as his first attack. It looked like Cameron would be trying a lot of music. He better gain levels fast!

The Kaiju ARI was coming right at him! Not that it was attacking. But it simply did not look where it was going.

"Music. They had to pick Bard for me." said Cameron, as he looked for any quests that he could do to level up in a hurry. He wanted to finish off that creature so he could be done with it. If he were done with it, hopefully he could meet the Rev and Gen of this timeline. Maybe they would share their technology in order that he might stand a chance of suppressing his mental health issues until all the crisises of the plane were dealt with. Who was he kidding, the problems of the plane would never be over. There would always be someone who tried to make some sort of monster, reactivate Plex, try to kill all Reality, try to mess with the Dimensional Cores. Would the timeline ever know peace? Cam didn't think so. He really believed there would never be an end to the troubles he was facing at present. His mental health issues could wait until he handled the Kaiju.

But what quests could he do in order to level himself up in a hurry?
