A brilliant explosion of colors would appear in the night sky over the capital as massive, dark structures appeared in the sky, blocking out the light of the hundreds of nighttime stars. The 2nd and 3rd World Without Boundaries fleets had just appeared in various positions around and near the planet, a total of twenty ships in all, nineteen Capital ships and one Super Capital. The Zarethians were in for one hell of an adventure today. The World Without Boundaries had come to play.

Immediately, several ships began to release AG Drones that started their entry into the Zaned atmosphere. Meanwhile, other ships used onboard projectile weaponry and tried to take out several targets from space, though their projectile weaponry achieved little actual effect as it seemed the World Without Boundaries couldn't fucking aim their projectile weapons from such a distance, due to lack of laser-guidance on many of their projectiles.

The Hall of the Sages was one structure that fell under attack, though its shields protected it for the moment. The moment the massive tower, which floated high in the sky not far from the Zarethian capital, fell under attack, a call to arms was ushered out automatically by the tower. The deep magical energies that had once radiated in the tower were still remembered well by tower systems. Naturally, the tower made a call, an SOS, to the last ones who had been in the tower... To everyone who had been present at the Dimensional Conference of Magic, eight years ago. These people would feel a pulse inside them as the Hall of the Sages sent them a simple message:

"Help."

Far from Zaned's own star at the very edge of the solar system the space began to heave, and churn as a force so unimaginably powerful began to lacerate the fabric of space
Forging great gashes the size of mountains nearly every half-second; soon all that was left was an immense gateway.
Emerging from that gateway was a gargantuan obelisk of strange metal and magic even bigger than a planet; it's own gravitational influence silenced by some eldritch technology as it flanked the assaulting fleet's flagship from behind, yet within range of it's ruinous firepower even so far away.

A Library so carelessly ruined, made anew.

It did not unleash a torrent of destructive energies, but it did vomit an infinitely vast swarm of mechanized hell onto the system. It was a silent god-like edifice until twenty five thousand Warden drones began pouring from it's maw; armed with diamond blades and laser cannons capable of downing a fighter they were dangerous as they were simplistic in design. They soared towards the WOB flagship as if they were a flock of living starlings; their movements unpredictable but so fluid it looked as if they were one solid mass. They were followed not soon after by a small force of a two hundred Hummingbird fighters; they could provide more tactical support to the planet below, and their firepower and agility would be a much needed addition to the Warden's attacking force.

Wormholes began to appear on Zaned's surface around the capital of the planet, and soldiers of a forgotten Coalition poured forth. Forming ranks and proper formations at the city's edge.
A single skyscraper sized Atlas of metal led an army of soldiers clad in some of the most advanced battle armor the galaxy had ever seen.
At the feet of the Atlas were lines of what appeared to paladins and scholars from the style of their armor, and at their backs was a small legion of technological miracles made militaristic. A force that had long left the main-stage of the galactic battlefield, a Coalition of the Archive and Noverian empire.

"Keep their head above water, but don't pledge too much support."

"What about the Hall of Sages?"

"Add it to the collection."

While the legion of Coalition paladins, sentinels, and troopers entrenched themselves into the capital of the city the Scholars wearing their own magical reaction enhancing armor set up in strategic points around the very edge of the city as they worked their fortification spellcraft. Creating a powerful city sized barrier against the orbital bombardment, but the spell would only disintegrate incoming energy fire, and ballistic shells. Slow moving vessels, or drop pods would pass through unharmed, as would any force on the ground. Oddly while all this was happening the Atlas literally started sprinting towards the Hall of Sages; with every foot it would shake the ground as if an earthquake was taking place. It was quick, and moved remarkably human-like for being a building size engine of Destruction and would reach the Hall of Sages quite quickly.

Tucked away in a small corner of the world was a small cabin. Inside the hut was a collection of a kleptomaniac. Shelves upon shelves of books of all sorts of genres, glass bottles ranging from fat and tall to small and skinny, some containing bright liquids and others being entirely empty, some with intricate designs and others flat and plain. Numerous electronics blinked lazily in the dark and small noises of fans whirring to life could be heard at random intervals along with soft beeps. The cabin itself was kept dark, cool, and it was very silent. Despite the bright sunshine outside, the inside of the home was devoid of all light while being full of life at the same time.

Among the collection was a bed piled high with blankets and pillows. In a consistent movement the pile of blankets would rise and fall softly as underneath the thick woven blankets was a small sleeping figure. Life carried on as this figure slept so peacefully.

Until there was a deeply rooted vibration that occurred. Sounding much like the electronics that whirred along the room's walls, the vibration blended in well. Until the figure realized that the vibration, slightly different than the rest, was actually unfamiliar and was actually inside of them.

A pale, slender arm reached out from under the comforters and stretched out, the fingers spreading like thin bones as the rest of the blankets shifted to accommodate the movement. Out popped a leg and then another arm and then suddenly the body went lax. The vibration continued, intensifying. Suddenly the body began to flail and soon enough all of the blankets and pillows were tossed off the bed in a random disarray as the rest of the figure emerged from slumber. Automatically a dim golden light flickered on.

Blue eyes framed in thick black lashes set in confusion, pale pink hair that fell from the crown of the head down to the middle of the back in waving ringlets, a small button nose, and a set of full lips that were partially gaped in wonder were the characteristics of the face as they looked around. “Hello?” a feminine voice called out as the girl looked around the room, her pupils dilating as they adjusted to the light.

Help...

“Who's there?” the voice called out again, uncertain. It wasn't until the voice began to fade as the vibrations strengthened did something click inside of the girl. It was as if everything shifted inside of her and gave her a different perspective. Without hesitation she the girl kicked off her bed and lightly touched a small computer mouse, a large screen floating in the middle of the air appearing. The girl's eyes adjusted as she reached up and flicked different screens out of the way before a blink red dot appeared on a map like picture. Her eyes widened in pure shock when this image only strengthened the message that was settling deep inside of her.

In a flurry of motion the girl darted around the room, tossing things over her shoulders and moving around like a tornado as she grabbed random books of the shelves, dug through dressers for clothes and other miscellaneous items. Her movements slowed as she went into a small room off to the side to wash herself up, cursing her human habits and needs as she changed her clothes, grabbed her knapsack, and darted out the door.

The slender girl paused as she looked around the nice little hut that she had acquired for herself. She had been out of commission for quite some time and of course now that she was leaving, she was feeling a little hesitant. This place had been her home and harbored a lot of her collections and memories. She was entirely independent and needed no one else beside her however at the same time she still needed to interact, which was something the place lacked.

Her blue eyes shifted around the hut, taking in every detail of the rocks that lined the bottom part of the building for support, the swoops and curves of the general architecture, the quietness of her surroundings as she had picked a place of total solitude in a nice tropical and far away location. The house itself was nestled on a high ledge next to a giant tree with long and thick vines. The girl sighed deeply as she took it all in, wondering if this was the last time she would see her home. A flood of memories was already crossing her mind but she knew that once she went there, there was no going back from what she might see, what she might walk in to...who she would see...

The girl stiffened, glared into the sky, and walked towards the edge of the cliff, looking down into the bright blue waters below. “Lets get this shit started, Kylexx.” And without any more hesitation, she walked off the edge of the cliff, pulled out a small, clear orb, squeezed it, and succumbed to the thrumming and vibration deep inside of her as she disappeared just seconds before hitting the water; the only trace she left behind was just a mere ripple of the water that proved she was even there in the first place.

A cloaked Aralang Keeper has jump-drived to the battle site a distance away, but close enough to analyze everything that is going on in detail. A massive portal opening has sent out a huge energy signature that the Aralangs had quickly detected, and it was obvious it was not a natural event. Even if it were to be a natural event, it would still be noticed by the Aralangs. Regardless, the Keeper silently recorded everything that was going on, unnoticed by the parties involves in the events surrounding the planet.

The surprise volley got through without much trouble, but the bulk of the damage was negated as the Planetary Defense AI Network spun into action, activating the Planetary Shields and rallying the Zarethian Garrisons. There was damage, to be sure-even if not well aimed, this was still orbital projectile weaponry-but while zarethian civilians ran screaming for their lives and buildings collapsed under a spark of orbital bombardment, the Defense Network wasted no time in placing the planet on High Alert and relaying instructions to get the civilians to war shelters. After all, even if the planetary shields had been activated quickly, there were still hundreds of drones that would've slipped through during the initial surprise attack. As such, the Defense Network activated several defensive emplacements for troops to man, and the elite shocktroops of the Zarethian military suited up and took their first thunderous steps onto the battlefield:The ZPAA Garrison Infantry moved out to secure their world from the WWB Invaders.

Then the wormholes appeared and soldiers came through from them. At first, the AI in the Defense Network allocated them as a hostile threat, but a Mechera Intelligence part of the Network analyzed the data and found them to be using Magic and spellcraft-something the WWB Combat Doctrine and core philosophy vehemently prohibited. Tentatively they were allocated a Neutral IFF tag for Zarethian forces, and the Mechera sent a signal directed to the skyscraper-sized lead unit:

[Attention, leader of Unidentified Militarized Forces, you are deployed on the sovereign territory of the Zarethian Empire. State intentions and identify yourselves-as this is currently a combat zone, we will be forced to assume your intentions are hostile and respond as such if you do not]

Meanwhile, in orbit around Zaned...Well, this was awkward. The Flagship of the Zarethian Empire-the Zealot-Class Titan Prometheus-Was currently making the rounds around Zarethian Territory with an escort of the Catalyst-Class Sub Titan Shepherd and six Olympion-Class Super-Capitals. Once the newly-warped fleet made its intentions apparent by firing on the Zarethian world, the Prometheus' Magister crew focused their magic into the four Starbuster cannons and loaded the barrels with massive rounds made of pure Black Platinum. The magic that was being focused through the crystals were Directed Gravity spells, magnified by Zarethian Magitech to about twenty-times their normal effect and affecting the entirety of the barrel. The effect was a gravity-propelled railgun firing Anti-Titan slugs made of what could possibly well be the heaviest, most dense material known to mortals at more than 20Gs directly at the enemy fleet. If they hit anything, it'd probably punch directly through the shields, keep going, smash the hull, keep going, punch through any other ships in their way, and continue on entirely out of Zaned's gravity well under their own acceleration. The barrels of the Starbuster cannons glowed from the friction, but the magical Dietranium metal would hold and mold itself back to into place soon enough. The Prometheus issued a single message to the WWB ships after firing those shots.

[Attention World-Without-Boundary vessels, this is the pride of the Zarethian Fleet Prometheus. That was your warning shot. Cease hostilities and prepare for boarding at once. Attempt to leave the system, and we will pursue. Attempt to call for backup or attack further, and we will attack without prejudice. Surrender, and you will be taken captive as prisoners-of-war and afforded with the proper rights and respect this entails. You have five minutes to make your decision before you will be considered hostile and fired upon.]

Aboard Crusader XI, "The Lion", a Capital-Sized ship that held the command of the combined 2nd and 3rd Fleets for the moment, reports immediately came in of a massive structure coming through a gate at the edge of the solar system.

"WHO IS IT!?" the battle-hardened Admiral of this fleet commanded, a middle aged woman with long, brownish-grey hair. She proudly wore the Admiral's Uniform of the Worlds Without Boundaries fleet. "ZARETHIANS!? MECHERANS!?"

"Negative, ma'am!" a technician replied, "The technology's unlike anything we've encountered thus far. I've searched the DAIS intelligence archives, they've got nothing! We have no earthly idea who it is!"

"I don't like the way they've positioned themselves. Prepare to send out a transmiss-"

"Ma'am!" a radar technician announced, "The structure has released unidentified crafts. Observatory's got visual, it appears that there are several drones as well as larger craft, maybe fighters, incoming. They appear to be hostile!"

"Shields to max!" the Admiral added, "Redirect our drones!"

Many of the Anti-Gravity Drones had already entered the planet of Zaned's atmosphere, but some 8000 - 10,000 changed their course towards the Warden drones. They were still some distance away from the enemy drones, but would prove to be formidable even with their significantly fewer numbers. In the meanwhile, The Lion and the nearby Crusader XVI and Crusader XVII began firing ballistic rounds at the Warden drones in an attempt to slow their onslaught.

"Ma'am!" a technician reported, "Intelligence has an ID on the drone technology, from ASF Intelligence. The drones were first encountered by the Aralangs eight years ago, during the Third Sage War, Battle of Lesh. The technology belongs to a group known as the... Archive..."

"Never heard of them," the Admiral replied, dismissively, "But if they think they're a match for my fleet, they've got another thing coming. What intel do you have on the structure that appeared?"

"It appears to be massive," the technician reported, "Three times the size of Earth. Should we direct the Conquest to attack?"

"Not yet," the Admiral replied, "Send in Warhorse. Oh, and begin Phase Two."

Elsewhere, well away from the command ship of the fleet, a small frigate exited the Crusader XXVI's docking bay and prepared to jump to Hyperspace.

The World Without Boundaries could have moved straight towards the capital, but that would have been far too easy. Instead, soldiers were deployed in smaller towns and cities around the planet, transported to the planet by Beaming Technology from some of the Crusaders in low planetary orbit. Well armored and well armed, legions of soldiers were spread throughout the planet and set to work dismantling any resistance outside of the capital itself.

It did not seem that the Sage Tower was an immediate goal of the World Without Boundaries, or even that they realized the significance that the tower held. If they did, they seemed to not be phased by the structure. Outside the Capital, several scouts set up camp and began to report findings to their superiors on other parts of the planet, through use of radio communication technology.

Meanwhile, back aboard The Lion, the Admiral awaited news from the ground forces anxiously.

"Ma'am, we have a report from the surface!" a communications officer shouted.

"Go!" the Admiral demanded.

"Scouts say that our attacks have not phased the capital. Planetary Defenses seem to be shooting down our ballistics, and what makes it past the planet's defenses seems to disintegrate just above the capital. We've caused only minimal damage, and only to areas outside the capital! A planetary shield has just been erected, and several of our AG Drones were cut off trying to enter the planet," the officer reported.

Another communications officer spoke up, in distress. "Admiral! The Third Fleet's Battlegroup reports incoming cannonfire from the Zarethian fleet! Sensors detect some magic may be active on the battlefield!"

"Tell them to raise Anti-Magic fields and respond accordingly at once!"

The WWB Third Fleet immediately raised Anti-Magic Fields. Only one or two of these massive Crusaders were within immediate range of the cannon fire, as the twenty WWB ships were spread all throughout the orbit around the planet. Those few targeted ships immediately activated tractor beams, designed to intercept and fling the incoming cannon-fire out of the path of the ships. Wait. The World Without Boundaries had tractor beams!? It seemed they did, but had they developed it themselves or received the tractor beams from some ally?

The Prometheus issued a single message to the WWB ships after firing those shots.
[Attention World-Without-Boundary vessels, this is the pride of the Zarethian Fleet Prometheus. That was your warning shot. Cease hostilities and prepare for boarding at once. Attempt to leave the system, and we will pursue. Attempt to call for backup or attack further, and we will attack without prejudice. Surrender, and you will be taken captive as prisoners-of-war and afforded with the proper rights and respect this entails. You have five minutes to make your decision before you will be considered hostile and fired upon.]

The message was patched through to The Lion, where the Admiral carefully considered the words of the Zarethians. When they insisted her men prepare to be boarded, she smirked.

"Do they take us for Narrikians?" she asked nobody in particular. "Surely, even the Zarethians know that the brave warriors of Earth will not go down without a fight. I will send a response..."

A moment later, the Admiral's response was sent to the Zarethians.

<TRANSMISSION IDENTIFICATION CODE : : G084729 TRI-AID -> ZANED -> FLEET II -> THE LION>
The World Without Boundaries laughs at your folly. Surely even the incompetent likes of the Zarethians are capable of seeing that they are outnumbered. Your ships may be larger, but mine are more numerous and my men have pledged their life to purging this universe of magic. I wonder, who shall triumph? Your meager colony, or my mighty titans? Though, perhaps I shall have mercy upon your incompetent men, should your commander beg me for permission to lick my boots.
<END TRANSMISSION>

The Admiral smirked. This was where she felt alive, in the heat of battle. The Zarethians were in for a shock.

"ORDER ALL SHIPS TO BEGIN CHARGING RAILGUNS!" she ordered, as the order was carried out.

The Old K Empire had fallen, some eight years ago, and Kaleb James "K2" Tyris I had abandoned his people, forming the New K Empire on Earth, though the empire was well removed from that planet now and had no ties with the World Without Boundaries. The empire was currently ruled by Queen Elizabeth Tyris I, granddaughter of K2, and her consort husband, King Sirius Blade. While Elizabeth's rule had proven to be much different than the harsher, authoritarian rule of her father or the imperialistic rule of her grandfather, the K Empire wasn't quite an isolationist state just yet, and the Zarethians were, after all, their oldest allies.

And thus, it was no small deal for the K Empire to send three of their Capital-Sized vessels, the KFS Disney, Reagan, and Hawaii 1, to tango with the World Without Boundaries forces. The Disney and Reagan were older ships, Hook vessels, distinguishable for the colossal-sized hook structures mounted on each hull. The Hawaii 1 was a much newer vessel, Island type, and was the command vessel for this particular mission. The three ships had come to offer whatever possible support they could to the Zarethians, and if necessary, to fight alongside the far superior Zarethian vessels.

The ships were clearly K Empire, each one decorated with a painted red K that spanned for miles alongside their hulls, Her Majesty's Imperial Signature. Each ship immediately charged their weapons as a tightbeam message was sent directly to the Prometheus from the Hawaii 1.

> Prometheus, this is Her Majesty's KFS Hawaii 1, reporting in to offer Tactical Support as needed. Please advise.

On board the Hawaii 1, the captain, a grizzly man with a manly beard and an eye patch over one eye, shouted out commands upon the bridge.

"Alright, boys, let's make ourselves useful!" he commanded, "Take out some of those drones!"

The KFS ships began firing on AG Drones returning from the trip towards the planet.

Among the many who received the call to arms, there was Zere Zero, Anrufe terrorist turned millionaire CEO turned Galactic Coalition leader all over the course of just one year. The bald headed sealist had traded in his cloak for a business suit and had gathered up quite the company under his banners as of late. However; on this particular day, he had left the army at home, coming with only a few men on a stealth ship, well cloaked and some distance away from the main battle, where he eagerly watched the war unfold.

The repetitive clicking sound of finger bone tapping on a metal chair's arm was all that was audible within the Library's helm, and the owner of the skeletal hand seemed barely interested in the whole affair that was being displayed on two dozen holo-screens floating before him. His eyes darted from one screen to another as he watched his forces fortify a foreign capital; risking life and limb for people they did not know, and didn't even care about.

They were not a benevolent peacekeeping force by any means, and their true reasoning for being here was floating unprotected kilometers from the besiege capital, but Abel knew that if they devoted their entire force on retrieving the Hall of Sages it would arouse suspicion on put the priceless artifact in even more danger.

[Attention, leader of Unidentified Militarized Forces, you are deployed on the sovereign territory of the Zarethian Empire. State intentions and identify yourselves-as this is currently a combat zone, we will be forced to assume your intentions are hostile and respond as such if you do not]

A thin smile crept upon his face as the message was immediately forwarded from the Atlas on the planet's surface. Opening up a communications line between himself and the Zarethian authorities in control on the colonies defenses with a single hand gesture; the many screens before him merged into one singular image of the planet's capital below. A black screen awaiting a visual input from the Zarethian forces below, as he was sending his own.

"We will be providing limited military support for your planetary and orbital forces."

Meanwhile the warden forces converged with the rearguard of the AG drones, and while the enemy was outnumbered greatly the wardens were also taking fire from WWB vessels. It wasn't until the support hummingbird forces began to engage in violent hit-and-run tactics on the WWB forces that they began to overtake the enemy forces.

Brilliant white lances of energy collided in the enemy capital ships as the hummingbirds began to buzz in impossible flight patterns around the enemy armada.

Their hard ninety degree turns, and on a dime stops making it practically impossible to hit with advanced weapons systems, and the WWB had slow-charging rail cannons and ballistic weaponry. It would take a miracle for something to clip a Coalition hummingbird's wings. Their auxiliary weaponry being controlled by an in-house combat VI began to let loose a relentless torrent of aether bolts into the surrounding rearguard AG drones.

Small reclamation teams of twenty-five began to venture forth from the capital into the local occupied town zones to engage with WWB ground forces; they were comprised mainly of troopers and paladins that would act as expanding bulwark to keep the enemy lines as far from the Hall of Sages as possible until the Atlas could reach it. Troopers acting as well organized skirmishers with a spearhead of paladins charging into the enemy lines. Basilisk blades petrifying WWB soldiers as the heavy infantry of the Coalition did what it did best.
